Ellucian Educause 2024
30x40 Island Exhibit
Challenge
For their return to Educause, Ellucian wanted to build on the success of the previous year while making subtle but impactful upgrades. The goals were to maintain a welcoming central reception, integrate multiple demo areas, and create stylish seating zones — all while keeping the layout clean and traffic flow intuitive. New wishlist items included podcasting space, high-top tables, and potential reuse of a previously unbuilt concept.
Approach
We leaned into the "business in the front, party in the back" layout, keeping high engagement zones forward-facing and reserving the rear for more relaxed interactions. The core structure was adapted to improve flow and flexibility: we removed back wall panels to open up sightlines and added modular elements like high-tops and optional monitor stations. The big wall remained a key anchor point, reimagined with the potential for a screen inside the booth. By blending formal demo spaces with laid-back seating and flexible tech zones, the booth struck the right balance between polished professionalism and casual conversation.
Highlights

Modular Demo Neighborhoods:
Each demo station was designed as a modular "neighborhood," complete with its own monitor, casual seating, and branding opportunity — allowing Ellucian to showcase multiple products in a way that felt approachable, organized, and attendee-driven, without overwhelming the space.
